Hva betyr feilkoden?
The control module registers that the signal is missing in the circuit for shift solenoid S1. Depending on the gearbox design, the fault is registered either when the solenoid is activated or when it is not. The solenoid controls gear shifting, so a missing signal affects how the gears engage.
Mulige årsaker
- Contact resistance in the connections
- Open circuit in the signal wire
- Defective solenoid
- Fault inside the transmission control module (TCM)
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1If you have a diagnostic tool: read the oil temperature in live data and road test the car; a faulty oil temperature sensor can cause this code, so check it first
- 2Check that the connectors to the transmission and the control module are secure and free from corrosion, since contact resistance and oxidation can cause the code
- 3Clear the fault code and road test the car to see whether it returns
- 4If you have a diagnostic tool: activate solenoid S1 with the selector in position P and read the current in live data; if it fluctuates, this points to a contact problem
- 5If the fault remains, have a workshop check the wiring to solenoid S1 and replace the solenoid if the wiring is intact
