Hva betyr feilkoden?
The control module works out the gear ratio for second gear from the input and output speed signals and compares it with the expected ratio for that gear. When the ratio deviates, second gear is not running as it should.
Mulige årsaker
- Glycol in the transmission fluid
- Contact resistance in the circuit to solenoids S3 and S4
- Solenoid S3 has stuck in the OFF position
- Solenoid S4 has stuck in the ON position
- Interference with or faults in the signal from the transmission speed sensor
- Transmission oil level too low
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1If you have a diagnostic tool: activate solenoids S3 and S4 with the selector in position P and check in live data that the status switches between off and on
- 2Read the fault codes in all control modules before replacing anything
- 3Have a workshop check the oil level and condition, and whether glycol has got into the oil
- 4Check the connectors on the transmission and the control module for contact resistance and oxidation, and twist the harness to see whether the fault comes and goes
- 5If the fault remains, have a workshop check solenoids S3 and S4 and the gear-shift position sensor, and repair or replace whatever is faulty

- The general orange warning lamp is lit
- The malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) is lit
- No lock-up function
- Gear shifts are harsh
- The gears slip in an abnormal way
