Hva betyr feilkoden?
The transmission control module (TCM) has compared the speed signal from the transmission speed sensor with the rpm signal and with the engine speed. The signals do not match the calculated values, which means the lock-up is slipping or not engaged. The lock-up solenoid (SLU) may be stuck in the OFF position.
Mulige årsaker
- Contact resistance in the connections
- Open circuit in the control signal wire or signal ground
- Solenoid not working
- Solenoid stuck in the closed position
- Internal fault inside the transmission control unit (TCM)
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Read off the fault code, clear it and road test the car to see whether it comes back
- 2Have a diagnostic tool? Watch the lock-up function in live data during the road test and see whether it never engages
- 3Check the transmission oil level and quality; if it is low, look for leaks and top up with the correct oil
- 4Use a multimeter to check the wires from the transmission connector to the lock-up solenoid for breaks; check the connectors for oxidation and looseness
- 5Have a workshop check the solenoid with diagnostic equipment; if it is fault-free the transmission control system may need replacing
