Hva betyr feilkoden?
The transmission control module calculates the gear ratio from the speeds going into and out of the transmission. It has found that the ratio is close to a gear other than gear 2, which the control module has selected, so gear 2 has not engaged as it should.
Mulige årsaker
- Contact resistance in the connections
- One of the solenoids has stuck in the OFF or ON position
- Mechanical fault in the transmission
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Clear the fault code and road test the car; if it returns, the transmission solenoids and connectors should be checked
- 2Have a diagnostic tool? Read the current gear in live data while driving and see whether gear 2 is actually being engaged
- 3Check that the connectors to the transmission are secure and free from oxidation; a loose connector or oxidation should be put right by a workshop
- 4Have a workshop check the solenoids; if no fault is found the control system may need replacing, and if the fault remains the transmission may need replacing
