Hva betyr feilkoden?
The transmission control module calculates the gear ratio from the speeds going into and out of the transmission. It has found that the ratio is close to a gear other than gear 3, which the control module has selected, so gear 3 has not engaged properly.
Mulige årsaker
- Contact resistance in the connections
- One of the solenoids has stuck in the OFF or ON position
- Mechanical fault in the transmission
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Read off the fault code, clear it and road test the car to see whether it comes back
- 2Look at the transmission oil: if the level is low, check for leaks before topping up; oil that smells burnt needs changing by a workshop
- 3Have a diagnostic tool? Read the current gear in live data during a road test and see whether gear 3 is really engaged when the car is running in it
- 4Have a workshop check the solenoids that engage gear 3 and their connectors; if nothing is found, the control system may need replacing
