Hva betyr feilkoden?
The gear selector is locked in position P by an electrically controlled lock (shift-lock), which is driven by a solenoid. The lock works when the ignition is on and the brake pedal is not pressed. The fault means the control module has detected a signal to the shift-lock solenoid that is too low.
Mulige årsaker
- Open circuit or short to ground in the cable to the shift-lock solenoid
- Internal fault inside the transmission control unit (TCM)
- Internal fault inside the gear selector unit (GSM)
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1With the ignition on: press the brake pedal and try to move the gear selector out of P. If it still will not move, the fault is present
- 2Read off the fault code, clear it and check whether it comes back
- 3Check the cable to the lock solenoid for chafing and loose connections, and use a multimeter to check that it is not shorted to ground
- 4Have a workshop check the transmission control module and the gear selector module; if no other fault is found, one of them may need replacing
