The transmission control module (TCM) has requested a movement of shift fork 2, but shift fork 4 moves instead. The fault may lie in the valve that selects odd or even gears, in the hydraulics or in a solenoid, and according to the troubleshooting the mechatronic unit must be replaced.

1Read out the fault codes from the transmission control module and deal first with any codes that may share the same cause
2The fault means the mechatronic unit must be replaced, and a workshop should do this
3If the control module is also replaced, it must be programmed by a workshop, because a replacement control module arrives without software
4Then read out the fault codes again to see whether the fault code remains
