Shift fork 1 or 2 travels the wrong way compared with the one the TCM has requested. Two hydraulic valves control which of the two gears the fork engages, and a control solenoid operates the valves. The fault means the mechatronic unit must be replaced.

2The fault means the mechatronic unit must be replaced, and a workshop should do this
