This is an event-driven information code, and it does not point to a fault in the transmission control module where it is active. It concerns the checksum of the vehicle speed signal coming from the BCM, or of the gearbox output speed. If the checksum does not agree, the gearbox is disconnected into neutral, so that a wrong or locked gear cannot occur.

Hva du kan gjøre

1If the brake control module (BCM) has fault codes, fix them first; then clear this code
2With the ignition on, check that the connectors between the brake control module and the transmission sit tight and are free from oxidation
3Use a multimeter to check that the CAN wire between them is not shorted to ground or supply voltage
4Have a workshop check the wheel sensors and the output speed sensor with diagnostic equipment
5Do not work on the brake system or the wheel sensors yourself; have a workshop carry out the troubleshooting there
