It describes the gear ratio of the selected gear being close to that of another gear, meaning the transmission seems to be stuck in 2nd gear. The code is always set together with another fault code, which is the real fault.

- Damaged linear solenoids in the transmission
- Damaged or worn clutch
- Poor fluid quality
- Mechanical faults in the transmission
- Worn transmission components causing slip or low system pressure

- 1Read all stored codes: this code is always set together with another one, which is the real fault
- 2Deal with the other code first, following its own instructions
- 3Then clear the codes and road test; this code does not need separate work
- 4If the fault returns, have a workshop check the transmission fluid condition and the transmission's mechanics
