Hva betyr feilkoden?
The fault code refers to shift solenoid S2 in the transmission, even though it is named solenoid B. The transmission control module (TCM) has found that the signal to S2 is too low when the solenoid is activated. The fault is general and does not say more precisely what type of fault it is.
Mulige årsaker
- The signal cable is short-circuited to ground
- The solenoid is not working
- The connector or circuit board is damaged or dirty
- Damaged solenoid
- Internal fault inside the control module (TCM) of the gearbox
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Read and note the fault code, clear it and drive the car to see if it returns
- 2With a diagnostic tool: activate solenoid S2 and check that its status switches between OFF and ON. If it does not switch, the fault is likely permanent
- 3Have a workshop open the transmission control system and check the cable to solenoid S2 for a short-circuit to ground, and the connector for dirt and oxidation
- 4Have a workshop visually inspect the solenoid and check the oil level
- 5If the fault cannot be found or fixed, have a workshop replace the mechatronic unit, as the fault is then in the solenoid or the control module

- General warning lamp and check engine light on
- Warning symbol and text message in the display
- Harsh or jerky gear changes, or gear changes missing
- No automatic gear change and no forward or reverse movement with a gear engaged
- Poor performance, the car lacks power when starting off, and automatic start/stop does not work
