Although the code is named unexpected mechanical disengagement, it means that clutch C1 has not engaged as it should. - 1Read all transmission codes and deal with any other transmission codes first, as they may be the root cause
- 2Read and note the code, clear it and road test the car to see whether it returns
- 3Check the transmission oil level and the condition of the oil, and look for oil leaks
- 4If the fault returns, have a workshop check clutch C1, solenoid SL1 and the wiring to it, and replace the mechatronic unit if needed
