Hva betyr feilkoden?

On the XC90 the code means a fault has been detected in the rear movement sensor (MMS) or in the interior motion sensor (IMS, from model year 2012 onwards). The sensor may need replacing.

Mulige årsaker

Poor contact on the sensor side and/or on the control module side
Open circuit in the sensor communication cable
A short to supply voltage on the sensor's communication cable
Defective sensor

Hva du kan gjøre

1Read off the code, clear it and check whether it returns.
2Look for loose connectors and oxidation at the sensor and at the control module connector.
3Use a multimeter to check that the communication cable has no contact with voltage and is not broken.
4Check in particular the connector in the cable harness between the control module and the sensor.
5If no fault is found, have a workshop replace the sensor.
