Hva betyr feilkoden?
The CEM supplies the right-hand brake light from its own output and registers a faulty signal from it. The cause may be a signal wire shorted to battery voltage or an open circuit. The brake light then either stays off or stays on constantly.
Mulige årsaker
- The signal wire to the right-hand brake light is shorted to battery voltage
- Open circuit in the signal wire to the right-hand brake light
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Press the brake pedal with the ignition on. If the light stays off the fault is likely permanent; if it works but the code was stored earlier, it is intermittent
- 2Check that the bulb in the right brake light is intact and sits properly in its holder
- 3With the ignition off, use a multimeter to check that the wire to the right brake light is unbroken and has no voltage
- 4Look for chafing and pinched spots along the wire to the right brake light
- 5If the fault remains, have a workshop check the circuit
- 6A faulty brake light is a safety risk, since drivers behind cannot see you braking
Symptomer du kan merke2
- The brake lights do not come on when the pedal is pressed
- The brake light stays on constantly
