Hva betyr feilkoden?
The CEM cannot communicate with the driver information module (DIM), so the gauges and instrument lighting may stop working. The fault most often lies in the supply to the instrument, in the earth or in the connector behind the dashboard. It can also be a break in the LS-CAN wiring.
Mulige årsaker
- No supply to the driver information module (DIM)
- Open circuit in the earth wire to the DIM
- Blown fuse
- Contact resistance in the connections
- Open circuit in the LS-CAN wires to the DIM
- The DIM does not suit the car, for example a used module with other software or hardware
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Switch the ignition on and check that the instrument lighting comes on. If it does not, the instrument probably has no supply
- 2Check the instrument supply fuse in the engine bay fuse box and the supply relay fuse in the CEM. If one has blown, check its circuit for a short to earth
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the wire from the fuse box via the supply relay to the instrument has no break
- 4Check that the earth wire to the instrument is intact and the earth point is not corroded. Also check the connector behind the dashboard
- 5With a diagnostic tool, read the instrument ID from the CEM. If it reads, the CAN communication is probably fine and the fault may be intermittent
- 6If other lights on the same relay are also out, the relay in the CEM may be faulty. If it cannot be activated, a workshop should replace the CEM
