The audio control module (AUD) monitors the amplifier circuitry that serves the left and right rear speakers. If the resistance becomes too low, the code is set, most often because the signal wires to one speaker have shorted together.

- Short circuit between the two signal wires to the speaker

- 1Check that the audio system fuses are intact and see where they are located in the owner's manual
- 2Check the connectors at the rear speakers and at the audio module for contact resistance, play and oxidation
- 3Inspect the wiring to the rear speakers for damage and replace it if needed
