Was bedeutet der Fehlercode?
The brake control module (BCM) has detected that the ABS pump motor does not start or that its signal is missing. The pump motor sits in the hydraulic unit and builds the brake pressure needed for ABS, stability control and brake assistance.
Mögliche Ursachen
- Poor contact or oxidation in the connections to the pump motor and the brake control module
- Blown fuse for the pump motor
- Open circuit in the supply or ground wire to the pump motor
- Damaged pump motor
- Faulty brake control module (uncommon)
Was Sie tun können
- 1Read the code, clear it and road test the car to see whether it returns
- 2Check the pump motor fuse. If it has blown, check the circuit for a short to ground before fitting a new fuse
- 3Check that the connectors at the brake control module and the pump motor are secure and free from oxidation
- 4With diagnostic equipment activate the pump motor and check that it starts and runs normally. If it does, the fault may have been temporary
- 5If the pump motor does not start, the hydraulic unit normally needs replacing by a workshop
- 6Do not work on the brake hydraulic unit or pump motor yourself; leave this to a workshop. Drive carefully until the fault is fixed
Symptome, die Sie bemerken können5
- General warning lamp and ABS warning lamp on
- ABS, traction control and stability function do not work
- Anti-skid function does not work
- Adaptive cruise control, collision warning and auto brake do not work
- Electronic parking brake has reduced function
Was der Fehler beeinflussen kann2
- ABS, traction control, stability control and brake assistance are blocked
- The brakes still work but without ABS regulation
Allgemeine Hinweise für Fahrzeughalter. Die Diagnose am Fahrzeug kann eine andere Ursache zeigen.
