Was bedeutet der Fehlercode?
The CEM controls the relay coil for the comfort relay through an output. The code is stored when the signal from the output is too high. The cause may be a damaged relay or a relay circuit touching supply voltage. The code never appears on its own, so check the other CEM codes first. The fault shows up as poor airflow, no recirculation and poor air quality in the cabin.
Mögliche Ursachen
- The relay is damaged
- The relay circuit touches supply voltage
Was Sie tun können
- 1Read all CEM fault codes and deal with the other ones first, since this code never appears on its own
- 2Check that the relevant fuses are intact. Their locations are in the owner's manual or on the fuse box cover
- 3Look for chafing and pinch damage on the wiring to the relay, especially where it may have touched a live wire
- 4Use a multimeter to check whether the relay wire has voltage when the relay should be switched off
- 5If you have a diagnostic tool: activate the relay and listen for it to click
- 6If the fault returns, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the relay and the wiring
Symptome, die Sie bemerken können4
- Air flow does not work as it should
- No air recirculation
- Poor air quality in the cabin
- Air conditioning does not work
Was der Fehler beeinflussen kann3
- The relay output switches off in the driving cycle in which the fault is detected
- The fault leads to permanent shut-off after 100 driving cycles with the fault
- Clearing the fault codes and starting a new driving cycle resets the output
