Was bedeutet der Fehlercode?
The engine control module (ECM) has registered that the signal from the front lambda sensor on bank 1 has stayed above a set value for a period of time, and treats this as a fault. The lambda sensor measures oxygen content in the exhaust and is important for keeping the fuel-air mixture correct. The most common cause is a signal wire shorted to voltage, or a damaged sensor.
Mögliche Ursachen
- Signal wire from the lambda sensor shorted to voltage
- Damaged front lambda sensor, bank 1
- Damaged engine control module (uncommon)
Was Sie tun können
- 1Read and note the code, clear it, and road test to see whether it returns
- 2Check that the connector at the lambda sensor is fully engaged and free from corrosion
- 3Follow the cable from the lambda sensor and look for chafing, pinched sections and melted insulation, especially near the exhaust pipe
- 4With the ignition on and the sensor connector unplugged, use a multimeter to check that the signal wire has no voltage. Voltage there means the wire is shorted to supply
- 5With a diagnostic tool, a lambda value that stays constantly high in live data, even with the throttle released, points to the signal
- 6If the fault returns anyway, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the wiring and control module before the sensor is replaced
Symptome, die Sie bemerken können2
- Malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) lit
- Engine may start poorly or sometimes not at all
Allgemeine Hinweise für Fahrzeughalter. Die Diagnose am Fahrzeug kann eine andere Ursache zeigen.
