Was bedeutet der Fehlercode?
The engine control module (ECM) monitors the signal from the intake air temperature sensor. The fault is set when the signal corresponds to a temperature above a set value, meaning the signal is too high.
Mögliche Ursachen
- Signal wire shorted to ground
- Damaged intake air temperature sensor
- Contact resistance in the connections
- Open circuit in the signal wire
- Signal wire shorted to voltage
Was Sie tun können
- 1Read the fault code, clear it and test drive to see whether it returns
- 2Check the connector to the intake air temperature sensor for contact resistance and oxidation; on cars where the sensor is built into the boost pressure sensor, it is that connector you check
- 3Check the sensor wiring for breaks, chafing and a short to ground
- 4If you have a diagnostic tool: read intake air temperature in live data with the engine running and check that the value is reasonable and rises with engine warm-up
- 5If the connectors and wiring are fine but the fault remains: have a workshop check or replace the sensor
