Was bedeutet der Fehlercode?
This code concerns the ageing of the rear oxygen sensor on bank 1. The engine control module checks that the sensor switches between rich and lean mixture, and the code is set if it does not, or if it is too slow to show a lean mixture at fuel shut-off. The cause can be an aged sensor or a leak in the exhaust system.
Mögliche Ursachen
- Damaged or aged rear oxygen sensor
- Leakage in the exhaust system
Was Sie tun können
- 1Inspect the wiring and connector to the rear oxygen sensor for chafing and corrosion, and do not use rust solvent spray or grease in the connector
- 2Check the exhaust system for leaks at joints and seams
- 3Have a diagnostic tool? Read the rear oxygen sensor value in live data with the engine warm and see whether it switches between rich and lean
- 4If nothing is found, have a workshop try a new rear oxygen sensor, since a damaged sensor can cause the code
Symptome, die Sie bemerken können1
- The malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) comes on
Allgemeine Hinweise für Fahrzeughalter. Die Diagnose am Fahrzeug kann eine andere Ursache zeigen.
