Was bedeutet der Fehlercode?
The front heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) on bank 1 responds too slowly to changes in the exhaust gases and in the fuel/air mixture. The ECM checks how well the sensor has aged and stores the code when its response has become too slow.
Mögliche Ursachen
- Short circuit between the cables for calibration current and pump current
- Open circuit in the signal cable (-)
- Open circuit in the cable for calibration current
- Damaged front heated oxygen sensor
Was Sie tun können
- 1Read and note the code, clear it and road test to see whether it returns
- 2Check that the connector at the oxygen sensor is fully engaged and not corroded. Do not use rust solvent spray or grease in the connector
- 3Follow the cables from the oxygen sensor and look for chafing and damage, especially near the exhaust pipe
- 4Use a multimeter to check that the signal cable and the calibration current cable have no open circuit and are not short-circuited to each other
- 5If the cables are intact, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the function of the oxygen sensor
Symptome, die Sie bemerken können1
- The malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) is lit
Was der Fehler beeinflussen kann1
- Catalytic converter diagnostics are switched off
