Was bedeutet der Fehlercode?
The engine control module (ECM) monitors the fuel pressure sensor signal. The fault is stored when the control module receives no signal at all from the sensor, which can be noticed while the engine is running. Without a signal the control module has no fuel pressure value, which can affect how the engine runs.
Mögliche Ursachen
- Signal cable short-circuited to ground
- Open circuit in the signal cable
- Damaged fuel pressure sensor
- Connector terminals with contact resistance, oxide or loose contact
Was Sie tun können
- 1Read and note the code. Clear it, warm the engine up and see whether it returns
- 2With a diagnostic tool, check that the fuel pressure signal shows in live data with the engine running
- 3Check the connector at the fuel pressure sensor: it should be secure, clean and free from oxidation
- 4With the car switched off, use a multimeter to check that the signal cable is not broken and is not short-circuited to ground
- 5Check that the ground lead to the sensor is not broken
- 6If no damage or connector fault is found, have a workshop replace the fuel pressure sensor and check that the fault clears
Symptome, die Sie bemerken können5
- Engine lacks power, especially when pulling away from standstill
- Engine may stall at any time
- Engine hesitates, surges or runs unevenly during acceleration and when slowing down
- Engine is hard to start, cranks slowly or does not start at all
- Check engine lamp (Malfunction Indicator Light) lit or behaving abnormally
