Was bedeutet der Fehlercode?
The oxygen sensor gives the engine control module information about the fuel and air mixture, and this fault concerns the signal ground for that sensor. The fault is stored when the control module finds that the sensor signal ground is incorrect. The cause may be the ground wire, the sensor or the connections.
Mögliche Ursachen
- Ground wire shorted to supply voltage
- Ground wire shorted to ground
- Open circuit in the ground wire
- Contact resistance or oxidation in the connections
- Damaged oxygen sensor
Was Sie tun können
- 1Read the code, clear it and drive for a while to see whether it returns
- 2Switch off the ignition and check the oxygen sensor connector and the earth point of the sensor ground wire. They should be clean and secure, free from oxidation and contact resistance
- 3With the car switched off, use a multimeter to check that the ground wire to the sensor is not broken and is not touching voltage
- 4If you have a diagnostic tool: watch the oxygen sensor value in live data while driving. A value that stays completely still suggests the sensor ground is not working
- 5If the earth and connections are in order but the fault remains, have a workshop check the sensor with diagnostic equipment
