Was bedeutet der Fehlercode?
The engine control module uses the signal from the oxygen sensor to judge the fuel and air mixture. The code is stored when the control module finds that the sensor signal is wrong, in this case too low. The cause may be an open supply or a short circuit in the signal cable.
Mögliche Ursachen
- Open circuit in the supply voltage to the sensor
- Damaged oxygen sensor
- Signal cable shorted to ground
- Signal cable shorted to supply voltage
Was Sie tun können
- 1Switch off the ignition and check the oxygen sensor connector: look for play, oxidation and damage
- 2Check the insulation of the signal cable for chafing and pinching, especially where it runs close to hot parts
- 3With the ignition on, use a multimeter to check that the supply voltage to the sensor is not interrupted
- 4If you have a diagnostic tool: check whether the oxygen sensor value in live data changes while driving. A value that stays still or looks wrong suggests the signal is not correct
- 5If the wiring is in order but the fault remains, have a workshop check the sensor with diagnostic equipment
Symptome, die Sie bemerken können1
- Message in the information display
Was der Fehler beeinflussen kann1
- The last measured value from the sensor is used
Allgemeine Hinweise für Fahrzeughalter. Die Diagnose am Fahrzeug kann eine andere Ursache zeigen.
