Was bedeutet der Fehlercode?
The ECM measures exhaust gas temperature with a sensor upstream of the catalytic converter. The fault code is set when that sensor's signal is faulty, and the module then calculates the temperature instead.
Mögliche Ursachen
- Contact resistance, oxidation or open circuit in the connections
- Signal wire short-circuited to ground or to voltage
- Open circuit in the ground lead
- Damaged temperature sensor for the catalytic converter
Was Sie tun können
- 1Check the connector at the catalytic converter temperature sensor for contact resistance, oxidation and open circuit
- 2Use a multimeter to check that the signal wire is not short-circuited to ground or to voltage
- 3Check the ground lead to the sensor for an open circuit
- 4With a diagnostic tool, compare this sensor with the particulate trap sensor when warm. An odd value from one sensor points to it
- 5Have a workshop measure the sensor resistance and replace the sensor if it is damaged
