Was bedeutet der Fehlercode?
Under certain operating conditions the control module monitors the rear knock sensor signal. If the signal is too low, the code is stored, and it can be checked while the engine runs. Poor contact at the sensor connection or a break in the signal wire are the most common causes of a signal that is too weak.
Mögliche Ursachen
- Contact resistance in the connections to the rear knock sensor
- Open circuit in the signal wire
- Short circuit between the knock sensor signal wires
- Damaged knock sensor
Was Sie tun können
- 1Check that the rear knock sensor connector is free from oxidation and firmly seated
- 2Make sure the rear knock sensor is firmly fitted and tightened correctly
- 3Read and clear the fault code, run the engine and check whether it returns
- 4If you have a diagnostic tool, check in live data that the knock signal from the rear sensor changes when the engine is revved
- 5Follow the signal wire from the rear sensor and use a multimeter to check that it is not broken and has no contact with ground
- 6If the fault remains: have a workshop check the knock sensor and its wiring
