Was bedeutet der Fehlercode?
The engine control module (ECM) monitors the exhaust gas temperature and compares it with a calculated value. The code is set when the temperature deviates too far. Although the code is named signal too low, the cause can also be a signal that is too high from a damaged sensor. A message is shown in the text display.
Mögliche Ursachen
- Damaged exhaust temperature sensor
- Raised contact resistance or oxidation in the connector terminals
Was Sie tun können
- 1Check that the connectors at the exhaust temperature sensors for the catalytic converter and the particulate filter are fully seated and free from oxidation
- 2Check that the wiring to the sensors is not chafed or broken
- 3If you have a diagnostic tool, read the exhaust temperatures in live data with the engine running and see whether any differs strongly from what you would expect
- 4If the fault remains, have a workshop check the sensors and replace the damaged one
