Was bedeutet der Fehlercode?
The fault code is set when the engine control module detects a signal that is too low on the wire to the electric cooling fan. After the engine is switched off the fan may run for a while, and how long depends on engine temperature, the temperature in the engine bay and the A/C system pressure.
Mögliche Ursachen
- Short circuit to supply voltage in the signal cable
- The electric cooling fan is damaged
Was Sie tun können
- 1With the ignition off, check that the fan blades move freely and are not blocked
- 2Run the electric cooling fan through each speed step with the diagnostic tool and listen for it to start
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the signal wire between the engine control module and the fan control module has no open circuit or damage
- 4A blown fuse in the supply to the electric cooling fan means no current, so check that first
- 5Replace the fan control module if it cannot be activated at any speed and the wiring is intact
