Was bedeutet der Fehlercode?
The engine control module (ECM) monitors the supply voltage to some of the engine sensors and sets the code when it is too low or too high. This variant applies to a supply that is too low, which can be caused by a fault at the EGR valve connection, poor contact, an open circuit or a short to ground in the supply wire.
Mögliche Ursachen
- A fault at the connection to the EGR valve
- Loose connection, contact resistance or oxidation in the connections
- Open circuit in the supply wire
- Short to ground in the supply wire
Was Sie tun können
- 1Read the code, clear it and road test the car to see whether it comes back
- 2Check the EGR valve connector for loose fit and oxidation
- 3A short in the EGR valve connector can also affect the fuel pressure sensor, since both share a supply connection on the control module; check that sensor connector too
- 4Use a multimeter to check that the supply wire has no open circuit and is not shorted to ground (the body)
- 5If the fault remains after these checks, have a workshop continue the fault finding
Symptome, die Sie bemerken können4
- Poor performance and lack of power
- Hesitation, surging or jerky running when accelerating and when speed drops
- The engine does not start, and it can happen at any time
- The engine stalls, and it can happen at any time
