Was bedeutet der Fehlercode?
The engine control module (ECM) has registered that the signal from potentiometer 2, the second throttle position sensor, is too high, and the code is set. The cause can be poor contact, a signal cable shorted to voltage, an open earth lead to the potentiometers, or a damaged throttle unit.
Mögliche Ursachen
- Contact resistance or oxidation in the connectors between the ECM and the throttle unit
- Signal cable short-circuited to voltage
- Open circuit in the earth lead to potentiometers 1 and 2
- Damaged throttle unit
Was Sie tun können
- 1Check the connectors between the ECM and the throttle unit for contact resistance and oxidation
- 2Use a multimeter to check that the earth lead to the potentiometers has no open circuit
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the signal cable is not short-circuited to voltage
- 4If the fault remains after these checks, have a workshop replace the throttle unit and carry out the adaptation
Symptome, die Sie bemerken können1
- The throttle responds less well than normal
Was der Fehler beeinflussen kann2
- Potentiometer 1 takes over the throttle angle calculation
- When both potentiometers have stored faults together, the throttle motor loses its supply
Allgemeine Hinweise für Fahrzeughalter. Die Diagnose am Fahrzeug kann eine andere Ursache zeigen.
