Was bedeutet der Fehlercode?
The code means the signal from the throttle unit is too low. It is stored when the engine control module (ECM) tries to adapt the throttle unit and detects restricted throttle movement, or an opening spring that is not working as it should.
Mögliche Ursachen
- The throttle is sticking or blocked, for example by oil film or dust
- Contact resistance or oxidation at the connections between the ECM and the throttle unit
- Open circuit, or short to ground or supply voltage, in the wiring to the throttle motor
- Throttle motor wiring shorted to each other
- Damaged throttle unit
Was Sie tun können
- 1Read the fault codes. Any stored codes for the throttle unit, throttle position sensor or ECM should be dealt with first
- 2Check that nothing is blocking the throttle and that it is not sticking. Clean as needed
- 3Check that the connectors at the throttle unit and the ECM are secure and not corroded
- 4Use a multimeter to check whether any throttle motor wire has an open circuit or contact with ground or supply voltage, and whether the wires are shorted to each other
- 5If you have a diagnostic tool: check in live data that the throttle angle changes when the accelerator pedal is pressed and released, and that it does so smoothly
- 6If the code returns, the throttle unit is probably damaged. After replacement it must be adapted, which a workshop with diagnostic equipment does
Symptome, die Sie bemerken können2
- Malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) on
- Reduced engine performance
Was der Fehler beeinflussen kann1
- Depending on the fault, the ECM may cut power to the throttle motor. The throttle then goes to its spring-loaded position
Allgemeine Hinweise für Fahrzeughalter. Die Diagnose am Fahrzeug kann eine andere Ursache zeigen.
