Was bedeutet der Fehlercode?
The engine control module (ECM) works out a lowest permitted air mass from throttle angle and engine speed, and compares it with the measured air mass. If the measured air mass is too low for a short moment, the code is stored.
Mögliche Ursachen
- Object blocking the throttle plate, such as an oil film or dust
- Defective air mass meter
- Defective engine control module
Was Sie tun können
- 1Look for air leaks in the intake and for loose charge air pipes
- 2Check that the air mass meter and the boost pressure sensor are correctly fitted, and look for air leaks around them. Even very small leaks can cause the code
- 3If you have a diagnostic tool: read the measured air mass in live data at idle and when pressing the throttle, and check that it rises evenly as the pedal goes down
- 4If no other code is present and the counters show the fault has occurred often recently, it is easier to reproduce during troubleshooting. Freeze-frame values show when it happened
- 5After repair: clear the code and leave the ignition off for a while before test driving, so the throttle module resets

- The throttle closes when braking, and the pedal position is ignored while the brake pedal is pressed
- Cruise control is switched off for the driving cycle in which the fault was detected
- Engine speed is controlled by fuel cut-off and capped at a low value
