Was bedeutet der Fehlercode?
The engine control module (ECM) checks the function of the coolant temperature sensor during warm-up after a cold start. If the value from the sensor has changed too little compared with the start temperature, the fault code is set.
Mögliche Ursachen
- Loose connection or oxidation in the connector
- Open circuit on the control signal lead
- Damaged battery relay
- Damaged coolant temperature sensor
- Contact resistance or oxidation in the connections
Was Sie tun können
- 1Read the fault code status with the ignition on and check whether the fault is active. Then clear the code and road test the vehicle from a cold start
- 2Check that the fuses are intact
- 3Check the connector at the engine temperature sensor for looseness, contact resistance and oxidation
- 4If you have a diagnostic tool: read the engine temperature sensor signal in live data. An unreasonable value means a permanent fault, while a reasonable one means it is not active now
- 5If the connector is in order and the fault remains, have a workshop check the sensor, the battery relay and the wiring
Symptome, die Sie bemerken können4
- Automatic engine start/stop does not work while driving
- Automatic engine start/stop does not work at idle
- The Check engine light comes on or behaves abnormally
- The engine is difficult to start and cranks slowly on starting
Was der Fehler beeinflussen kann2
- The automatic engine start/stop function is switched off
- The control module falls back on a default value or a calculation model
