Was bedeutet der Fehlercode?
The engine control module (ECM) measures how long the rear oxygen sensor in bank 1, sensor 3, takes to switch from rich to lean mixture. The code is set when the sensor reacts too slowly during a fuel cut-off. The test is only run once the engine is at operating temperature and after at least two longer fuel cut-offs in normal driving, and the code only applies to cars with three oxygen sensors.

- Contact resistance or oxidation in the connections
- Damaged or dirty rear oxygen sensor, sensor 3
Was Sie tun können
- 1Read the code, clear it and road test the car to see whether it comes back
- 2Check the connector to the sensor for contact resistance and oxidation; do not use rust solvent spray or grease
- 3If you have a diagnostic tool: check in live data that the sensor signal follows the switches between rich and lean when the accelerator is released during a deceleration
- 4If the connector is clean and intact, replace the rear oxygen sensor
