Was bedeutet der Fehlercode?
The control module (ECM) receives the temperature from each injector and compares the values with calibrated limits. The code is set when the temperature from the injector on cylinder 2 exceeds the highest permitted value. The cause may be looseness or oxidation in the connectors, or a damaged injector.
Mögliche Ursachen
- Loose connectors or oxidation in the connectors to the injectors
- Damaged injector on cylinder 2
Was Sie tun können
- 1If there are codes for missing or faulty communication with the injectors, fix those first, as this code is then a follow-on fault
- 2Check the injector connectors, especially on cylinder 2, that they are secure and free from oxidation
- 3If you have a diagnostic tool: compare the temperature from each injector in live data and see whether cylinder 2 is high compared with the others
- 4Clear the code and run the engine to see whether it returns
- 5If the fault remains after these checks, the injector on cylinder 2 has to be replaced, which is a workshop job
Symptome, die Sie bemerken können1
- No noticeable symptoms for the driver
Was der Fehler beeinflussen kann1
- The control module uses the temperature from one of the other injectors instead
Allgemeine Hinweise für Fahrzeughalter. Die Diagnose am Fahrzeug kann eine andere Ursache zeigen.
