Was bedeutet der Fehlercode?
The control module (ECM) measures the pressure in the fuel rail with a fuel pressure sensor and checks the sensor voltage. The code is set when the wrong value remains for two or more drive cycles in a row. The fault may show up as a lit environmental warning lamp and as the engine misfiring.
Mögliche Ursachen
- Open circuit in the signal or earth wire
- Contact resistance or oxidation in the connections
- Signal wire shorted to voltage
- Open circuit in the signal wire
- Damaged fuel pressure sensor
Was Sie tun können
- 1Check that the fuses are intact, especially those supplying the engine control and the fuel pump
- 2If you have a diagnostic tool: read the fuel rail pressure in live data and see whether the value follows the engine load
- 3Check the connector at the fuel pressure sensor for looseness, oxidation and damage
- 4Use a multimeter to check that the signal wire has no break and is not shorted to voltage or earth
- 5If the fault remains after these checks, a workshop should check the fuel pressure sensor and its wiring
