Was bedeutet der Fehlercode?
The control module (ECM) checks the engine oil temperature against the air, coolant and outside temperatures. The code is set when the oil temperature differs too much from these readings and the signal is too low.
Mögliche Ursachen
- Contact resistance in the connector at the sensor
- Signal wire shorted to earth
- Damaged sensor for oil pressure and oil temperature
Was Sie tun können
- 1Check that the fuses are intact
- 2Read and clear the code, then start the engine to see whether it returns
- 3Check the connector at the combined oil pressure and oil temperature sensor for contact resistance and oxidation
- 4Use a multimeter to check that the signal wire is not shorted to earth (the body)
- 5If you have a diagnostic tool: compare the oil temperature in live data with the outside temperature after a long stop, and see whether they are close
- 6If the fault remains, a workshop should check the sensor
Symptome, die Sie bemerken können1
- No noticeable symptoms for the driver
Allgemeine Hinweise für Fahrzeughalter. Die Diagnose am Fahrzeug kann eine andere Ursache zeigen.
