Was bedeutet der Fehlercode?
The engine control module (ECM) has registered a fault in the signal from throttle position sensor potentiometer 2 (circuit 2), and the voltage is too high.
Mögliche Ursachen
- Oxidation or raised resistance in the connectors between the control module and the throttle unit
- Signal wire shorted to voltage
- Open circuit in the signal ground wire to potentiometers 1 and 2
- Damaged throttle unit
Was Sie tun können
- 1Read the code, clear it and road test to see whether it returns
- 2With a diagnostic tool, compare potentiometers 1 and 2 in live data; if they disagree, suspect the throttle unit
- 3Check that the fuses are intact. Fuse locations are shown in the owner's manual
- 4Use a multimeter to check that the ground wire to the throttle unit is not broken, and that the signal wire is not shorted to positive
- 5Look at the connectors between the control module and the throttle unit for loose connections and corrosion
- 6If the code returns, have a workshop replace the throttle unit if needed and carry out the adaptation
Symptome, die Sie bemerken können1
- The car feels poor to drive, with reduced performance and lack of power
Was der Fehler beeinflussen kann2
- The throttle angle is instead worked out with potentiometer 1
- If both potentiometers store faults at the same time, the throttle motor is switched off and the throttle returns to its spring-loaded position
Allgemeine Hinweise für Fahrzeughalter. Die Diagnose am Fahrzeug kann eine andere Ursache zeigen.
