Was bedeutet der Fehlercode?
The ECM keeps an eye on the signal running to the PEM, the fuel pump control module. The code is stored when that signal is too low. It can be caused by an open or short circuit in the wiring, or by a fault in the fuel pump in the tank that gives too low pressure. The code is general and does not say what type of fault it is.
Mögliche Ursachen
- Open or short circuit in the wiring
- Fault in the fuel pump in the tank, giving too low pressure
Was Sie tun können
- 1Read and note the fault code, clear it and test drive to see whether it returns
- 2Check that the fuses are intact
- 3Check the connector to the fuel pump control module for contact resistance and oxidation
- 4With the ignition off, use a multimeter to check that the control wire to the low-pressure pump has no open circuit or short to ground
- 5Have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the fuel pump in the tank and its control module
Symptome, die Sie bemerken können5
- The engine does not start but cranks
- The engine is hard to start and cranks slowly
- The car hesitates or surges during acceleration
- The engine stalls, at idle or while driving, at any time or all the time
- A message in the display together with a warning symbol
