Was bedeutet der Fehlercode?
The ECM checks the signal heading to the PEM, which is the fuel pump control module. The code is stored when that signal is too high. The cause may be an open or short circuit in the wiring, or a fault in the fuel pump in the tank. The code is general and does not say what type of fault it is.
Mögliche Ursachen
- Open or short circuit in the wiring
- Fault in the fuel pump in the tank, which may give too low fuel pressure
Was Sie tun können
- 1Read and note the fault code, clear it and test drive to see whether it returns
- 2Check that the fuses are intact
- 3Check the connector to the fuel pump control module for contact resistance and oxidation
- 4With the ignition off and the engine control module connector disconnected, use a multimeter to check that the control signal wire has no open circuit or short circuit
- 5Have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the fuel pump in the tank and its control module
Symptome, die Sie bemerken können5
- The engine does not start but cranks
- The engine is hard to start and cranks slowly
- The car hesitates or surges during acceleration
- The engine stalls, at idle or while driving, at any time or all the time
- A message in the display together with a warning symbol
