Was bedeutet der Fehlercode?
The ECM watches the output of the crankshaft sensor. If the signal is missing or wrong, the fault code is set. The fault mainly affects the ability to start. It may be caused by oxidation, a break in the wiring, an incorrectly fitted sensor or a damaged sensor.
Mögliche Ursachen
- Contact resistance and oxidation in the connections
- Break in the crankshaft sensor wiring
- Incorrectly fitted crankshaft sensor
- Damaged crankshaft sensor
Was Sie tun können
- 1Read the fault code, clear it and try starting the engine to see whether it returns
- 2Check the crankshaft sensor connector for oxidation and contact resistance
- 3Check that the crankshaft sensor wiring is not broken; with a multimeter, confirm that it has continuity all the way
- 4Check that the crankshaft sensor is correctly fitted and not loose
- 5Keep cables with high current draw, such as the starter cable, away from the crankshaft sensor wiring, and have a workshop replace the sensor if it is damaged
Symptome, die Sie bemerken können2
- The engine is hard to start and cranks slowly
- The Check engine light lights up or behaves abnormally
Allgemeine Hinweise für Fahrzeughalter. Die Diagnose am Fahrzeug kann eine andere Ursache zeigen.
