Was bedeutet der Fehlercode?
The ECM keeps watch over the glow system. The fault is set when the voltage on the signal cable to the glow plug control module is too high, which can be caused by the signal cable or the ground cable being short-circuited to supply voltage.
Mögliche Ursachen
- Signal cable short-circuited to supply voltage
- Ground cable short-circuited to supply voltage
- Damaged glow plug control unit
Was Sie tun können
- 1Check that the fuses for the glow system are intact
- 2Read and clear the fault code, then cold-start the engine and see whether it comes back
- 3Check with a multimeter that the signal and ground cables to the glow plug control module have no voltage when the ignition is off
- 4Check that the wiring to the glow plug control module is not chafed or pinched
- 5Check that the connectors at the glow plug control module are secure and not oxidised
- 6If the fault remains, have a workshop check the glow plug control module
