Was bedeutet der Fehlercode?
The ECM monitors the actual idle speed and sets the code when it stays above the limit for a set time. It is a component fault in which the idle control does not work as intended. The cause may be a large leak in the intake system or a blocked intake or exhaust system.
Mögliche Ursachen
- Large leak in the intake system
- Blocked intake system
- Blocked exhaust system
Was Sie tun können
- 1At high and unsteady idle speed: check that the intake system has no large leaks or damage
- 2At low and unsteady idle speed: check that the intake and exhaust systems are not blocked
- 3If you have a diagnostic tool, read the idle speed in live data with the engine idling and see whether the value stays steady
- 4Clear the code and road test the car, or let the engine idle for a while and see whether the code returns
- 5If the code returns, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the idle control and the intake
Symptome, die Sie bemerken können2
- High idle, either sometimes or all the time
- Uneven idle
