Was bedeutet der Fehlercode?
The engine control module (ECM) monitors the intake air temperature sensor after the EGR supply. The code is stored when the incorrect value lasts longer than a set time. It does not specify a more detailed fault type, so the cause has to be found through fault-tracing.
Mögliche Ursachen
- Intake air temperature sensor is damaged
- Short circuit to supply voltage in the signal wiring
- The engine control module itself is faulty
Was Sie tun können
- 1Read and note the code, clear it and road test to see whether it returns
- 2Check that the sensor connector is secure and free from moisture and corrosion
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the signal wire has no contact with battery positive (voltage)
- 4If you have a diagnostic tool: read intake air temperature in live data and check that it follows the ambient temperature when the car has been standing still
- 5If the wiring and connector are fine: have a workshop check the sensor and the engine control module
Symptome, die Sie bemerken können1
- Malfunction indicator (check engine) lamp comes on or behaves abnormally
Was der Fehler beeinflussen kann1
- The control module calculates a value instead of using the sensor signal
Allgemeine Hinweise für Fahrzeughalter. Die Diagnose am Fahrzeug kann eine andere Ursache zeigen.
