Was bedeutet der Fehlercode?
Although the code is named as a loss of return spring, the condition is that the throttle does not return within a reasonable time during the check. When the engine is switched off, the engine control module (ECM) runs a mechanical check by moving the throttle to the open position and measuring how long it takes to return to its rest position.
Mögliche Ursachen
- The throttle sticks or is blocked, for example by dirt, oil film or ice
- Contact resistance or corrosion at the throttle body connector to the ECM
- Open circuit or short to ground or voltage in the wires to the throttle motor
- The wires to the throttle motor are shorted to each other
- Damaged throttle body
Was Sie tun können
- 1Check that the fuses are intact. Their location is in the owner's manual or on the fuse box cover.
- 2Check that the throttle moves freely by hand when the engine is off, and that it is not blocked by dirt or oil film.
- 3If the throttle is dirty, have a workshop clean the throttle body.
- 4With the ignition off, use a multimeter to check that the wires to the throttle motor have no break and no contact with ground or voltage.
- 5Check the connectors between the engine control module and the throttle body for looseness, contact resistance and corrosion.
Symptome, die Sie bemerken können4
- The engine performs poorly or lacks power
- The idle is uneven
- The check engine lamp lights or behaves abnormally
- Yellow warning symbol and text message in the display
Was der Fehler beeinflussen kann1
- Depending on the nature of the fault, the power to the throttle motor may be switched off, so the throttle goes to its spring-return position
