The ECM keeps watch on the signal wire to the intake camshaft reset valve. The code is set when the signal is too high, which can come from the wire touching supply voltage or from a damaged valve.

- Signal wire short-circuited to supply voltage
- Damaged camshaft reset valve
Was Sie tun können
- 1Look for contact resistance or oxidation at the valve connector
- 2Use a multimeter to check that the signal wire has no contact with supply voltage
- 3Check that the wiring to the valve is not pinched or chafed
- 4If you have a diagnostic tool: read the status of the reset valve and see whether it reports a fault
- 5If the fault remains, have a workshop check the reset valve and the signal wire with diagnostic equipment
