Was bedeutet der Fehlercode?
The engine control module (ECM) compares two independent signals from the accelerator pedal: the PWM signal that runs directly to the ECM and the analogue signal that goes via the central electronic module (CEM) over the CAN network. The code is set when the analogue signal is too high. Because the signal passes through CEM, the root fault may lie there, and this code can only be erased once it has been fixed.
Mögliche Ursachen
- Fault in the central electronic module (CEM)
- CAN link fault between ECM and CEM
- Fault in the analogue accelerator pedal position sensor signal
- Damaged accelerator pedal position sensor
- Signal wire shorted to the supply voltage
- Terminals with high resistance, oxidation or a loose fit
Was Sie tun können
- 1Read the fault codes in the central electronic module (CEM) first, since the root fault is there
- 2Fix the faults in CEM and then erase the code in the engine control module, as it cannot be erased until the root fault is fixed
- 3Check that the fuses are intact; their locations are in the owner's manual or on the fuse box cover
- 4Check the connectors at the pedal sensor and the engine control module for loose contacts, contact resistance and oxidation
- 5Use a multimeter to check that the signal wire has no open circuit and is not short-circuited to supply voltage
- 6With a diagnostic tool, read the pedal value in live data while the pedal moves, and check that it follows the movement
Symptome, die Sie bemerken können3
- Yellow warning symbol and a message in the display
- The car has poor performance and lacks power
- Poor performance and lack of power especially when pulling away from rest
Was der Fehler beeinflussen kann3
- Engine torque may be limited
- The control module treats the pedal as released when the brake pedal is pressed at the same time
- Vehicle performance is limited if the fault persists for a long period
