Was bedeutet der Fehlercode?
The engine control module (ECM) monitors the lambda sensor before the catalytic converter by comparing the front and rear sensor adaptation values. The code is set when the values deviate too much, or when the sensor signal shows a mixture that does not match what the ECM expects. The fault may lie in the front or rear lambda sensor circuit, the exhaust system or a damaged sensor.
Mögliche Ursachen
- Leakage in the exhaust system
- Signal cable (-) short-circuited to supply voltage or ground
- Pump supply or calibration supply cable short-circuited to supply voltage or ground
- Open circuit in the signal cable (+)
- Damaged heated oxygen sensor (HO2S)
- The lambda sensor is mounted outside the gas stream
Was Sie tun können
- 1Check that the fuses are intact; their locations are in the owner's manual or on the fuse box cover
- 2Check the exhaust system for leaks
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the wire from the lambda sensor has no open circuit and is not short-circuited to supply voltage or ground
- 4Check the connectors at the lambda sensor and the engine control module for contact resistance and oxidation
- 5Have a workshop check that the lambda sensor sits correctly in the exhaust flow, and replace it if the fault remains
- 6Have a workshop check the engine control module, since an internal fault there can set this code and is then fixed by replacing it
Symptome, die Sie bemerken können1
- The malfunction indicator lamp lights up or behaves abnormally
Was der Fehler beeinflussen kann3
- Lambda sensor control is switched off
- Catalytic converter diagnostics are switched off
- A calculated value is used instead of the sensor reading
Allgemeine Hinweise für Fahrzeughalter. Die Diagnose am Fahrzeug kann eine andere Ursache zeigen.
