Was bedeutet der Fehlercode?
The engine control module (ECM) gets information from the front heated oxygen sensor about the fuel and air mixture and monitors the sensor signal. The code is set when the signal is judged implausible. It is also set if the heater voltage disturbs the signal from the sensor.
Mögliche Ursachen
- Short circuit in the signal wire
- Short between one of the heater supply wires and the sensor's other signal wires
- Damaged front heated oxygen sensor (HO2S)
Was Sie tun können
- 1Read the code, note it and clear it. Then drive the car with the engine running and read again to see whether it returns
- 2Check the heated oxygen sensor connector for contact resistance, looseness and oxidation. Do not use rust-dissolving spray or grease in the connector
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the signal wire has no short to earth or supply voltage, and that the wires are not shorted to each other
- 4If the wiring is in order, try a new heated oxygen sensor
- 5If the fault remains after that, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment continue the diagnosis
